The Monetary Policy Competition is an academic event where students apply economic concepts to real-world scenarios. Participants analyze economic data, propose monetary policy solutions, and present their recommendations to a panel of judges.
The competition is open to secondary school students from grades 10-12. Participants can register as a team (minimum 4 members, maximum 5 members) and do not need to represent a specific school. All teams must be pre-registered before the deadline to compete.
No prior expertise is required, but a basic understanding of economic principles and monetary policy tools (such as interest rates, inflation control, and reserve requirements) will be helpful. Participants are expected to prepare their presentation ahead of time based on the provided competition scenario.
